1) Aristotle would respond well to the painting because the painting seems to show men voting and not one person making all the decisions. Aristotle wanted everyone to be satisfied and although he was aware this is impossible, he believed that more people voting on laws would be better.
2) Government is present in the painting because everyone is voting or voicing their opinion. The men in the painting are also educated because of the circumstances and because of how they are dressed.
3) He would assume is was an oligarchy because it seems to be a small number of educated and wealthy individuals. It does not represent the common man and there are relatively not that many people in the painting.
4) They represented the elements well, because there were men from all over to give input. However, it was only the wealthy individuals so society could have been represents better, but I believe less would have been accomplished.
5) For the most part, Aristotle and Tocqueville would agree on a lot of the issues in society. An example of this is equality. They both believed that a successful democracy needed equality in order to be happy. They also believed in a true democracy in order to make sure everyone was represented.
